United Animal Nations Emergency Animal Rescue Service - United Animal Nations, an animal advocacy
organization, was founded in 1987 by a small core
group of animal lovers with an aggregate of 120
years experience in the humane movement. The mission of the Emergency Animal Rescue Service Program
is to provide assistance to domesticated and farm animals,
not excluding wildlife when it is determined necessary, so as
to minimize their suffering and to reduce the number of
deaths during both natural and man-made disasters. The
mission is accomplished by utilizing volunteers who have
completed the EARS disaster preparedness workshop, and
working with other animal welfare, veterinarians and
emergency management agencies to ensure that animals are
rescued, provided shelter, given medical treatment, and
reunited with their caregivers or adopted into permanent
homes.
