blue right-pointing arrow Alaska Earthquake Information Center Epicenter Listing - This listing includes the most recent 100 earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.0 or greater processed by the AEIC, a State of Alaska/USGS cooperative seismic observatory located at the Geophyscial Institute of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. (Added: 21-Sep-1998 Hits: 622)  [Spider URL]"
blue right-pointing arrow Earthquake Maps - These earthquake maps are generated automatically every 6 hours, e.g., at 0000, 0600, 1200 and 1800 U.S. Central Time. The maps have minimal detail in order to be small, and thus facilitate quick downloading. (Added: 12-Nov-1998 Hits: 641)  [Spider URL]"
blue right-pointing arrow Geoscope Program - The GEOSCOPE program is a worldwide network of seismic stations with digital recording in a very broad frequency band to study the earth's internal structure and the mechanisms involved in earthquakes generation. (Added: 14-Sep-1998 Hits: 523)  [Spider URL]"
blue right-pointing arrow IRIS Seismic Monitor - This is an interactive educational display of global seismicity that allows you to monitor earthquakes in near real-time, view records of ground motion, and visit seismic stations around the world. The display is updated every 30 minutes using data from the National Earthquake Information Center. (Added: 12-Nov-1998 Hits: 502)  [Spider URL]"
blue right-pointing arrow National Earthquake Information Center - The National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC) has three main missions. First, the NEIC determines, as rapidly and as accurately as possible, the location and size of all destructive earthquakes that occur worldwide. Second, the NEIC collects and provides to scientists and to the public an extensive seismic database that serves as a solid foundation for scientific research. Third, the NEIC pursues an active research program to improve its ability to locate earthquakes and to understand the earthquake mechanism. (Added: 12-Nov-1998 Hits: 598)  [Spider URL]"
blue right-pointing arrow Pacific Northwest Earthquake Information - Information on Pacific Northwest earthquake activity and hazards is provided by the Pacific Northwest Seismograph Network (PNSN), which operates seismograph stations and locates earthquakes in Washington and Oregon. (Added: 22-Sep-1998 Hits: 418)  [Spider URL]"
blue right-pointing arrow Recent Global Earthquake Events - This web page features a near-real-time Earthquake Bulletin provided by the National Earthquake Information Service (NEIS) of the U. S. Geological Survey as part of a cooperative project of the Council of the National Seismic System. (Added: 17-Sep-1998 Hits: 761)  [Spider URL]"
blue right-pointing arrow TriNet: The Seismic System for Southern California - TriNet is a five-year collaborative project among the California Institute of Technology, the California Division of Mines and Geology, and the U.S. Geological Survey to create an effective real-time earthquake information system for Southern California. TriNet incorporates new technologies to provide vital information within minutes of an earthquake and thus to help mitigate the impact of large earthquakes in the region. The system is designed to aid both scientists and emergency managers. Through continuous monitoring of seismicity in Southern California TriNet produces rapid estimates of earthquake times, locations, and magnitudes, enabling direct estimates of the strength of ground shaking near earthquakes. Its products include maps (a program known as ShakeMap) showing the distribution of ground motion and a pilot earthquake early warning system. (Added: 20-Jan-2000 Hits: 379)  [Spider URL]"
